As a decision support tool for nurse managers, FLO works in conjunction with current time & attendance solutions to create an optimized schedule. Once completed, the schedule is uploaded into the current time & attendance solution. Nursing staff would continue to use the current time & attendance solution as previously done.
A one-time onboarding process gathers data from various sources through uploads or by integration. Additional information that is not currently recorded in reports (schedule rules, etc.) can be set up manually. Once entered, the data will be used for each schedule created. Additional census and personnel data is uploaded monthly through the same process.

FLO was developed to meet the fluctuating staffing needs of Emergency Departments. Medecipher has plans to expand development to Inpatient departments during Q4 of 2023.
Currently, FLO is used in the mid-term scheduling horizon to establish nurse schedules up to 1-2 months in advance. Medecipher is expanding development in Q2 of 2023 to include a "Flex '' option that allows schedulers to make same day schedule adjustments (due to Callouts, etc.) easily.
