On behalf of our incredible team, I would like to thank you, our Medecipher family, for the support you’ve given us over this past year. It has been a year of significant growth marked by achieving several milestones in product development and collaboration with customers and investors.
Product Milestones Our hard-working technical team grew by 3 team members this year (Shawn, Vishal, and Connor) thanks to $1M in funding from the National Science Foundations’ small business innovation research (SBIR) program.
We completed the build of our software-as-a-service platform and stood-up our initial product, an advanced scheduling solution for emergency department nurse managers using mathematical modeling and predictive analytics to optimize shift allocations to reduce underscheduling and overscheduling.
We made strides in product accessibility by creating a demo environment with a de-identified fake hospital for prospective clients to understand the features and workflows. We launched a new rapid ROI product that gives prospective customers insight into the potential cost savings and value proposition gained by implementing Medecipher.
Customer Milestones We worked with health system partners at Queen’s Medical Center and Mayo Clinic to understand workflows and pain points, prioritize technical roadmap features, identify opportunities for co-development, and understand how to navigate complex matrixed health systems as a small start-up. We also officially launched Medecipher Labs as a product testing and market research community.
Investor Milestones Our fundraising efforts kicked off in August with a pitch at the Colorado Bio Science’s Association conference introducing us to early-stage healthcare technology investors interested in non-coastal healthcare technology companies. We continued to gain traction with a 2nd place win at the Ignite Accelerator pitch competition and were awarded a $100K investment prize from Wavemaker360. Thank you to the investor community for being supportive, mentoring us, and making intros.
LOOKING AHEAD TO 2023
As we prepare for 2023, we anticipate another year full of impactful challenges and growth as we tackle aggressive goals to deliver a product that will meaningfully transform the future of healthcare operations for the better.
Product Goals Improve the usability of our product and launch a self-service user interface, in addition to expanding applications beyond the emergency department to the inpatient nursing use case.
Customer Goals Deliver meaningful revenue-generating product to 4 clients.
Investment Goals Secure additional capital to sustain these product development and commercialization goals.
Your generous support has helped us achieve these milestones and bolstered our resolve to continue dedicating our efforts to make an transformational impact on nurse staffing.
With gratitude, Stephanie
